Bullying has never ceases to exist in Malaysia, as videos of students getting involved with acts of violence continue to make its way onto social media.
Recently, a video of a Kuala Kangsar boarding school student taking punches from his peers caught the attention of the police, which poses questions as to how deeply rooted bullying is in schools around the country.
Here are the videos that made its way on social media.
In the collection of videos, the victim, wearing a red t-shirt can be seen taking blows to the gut as his peers held him in place.
Clearly in a huge amount of pain, the student in red did not retaliate, probably in fear of a reprimand from the group surrounding him.
According to Perak Police Chief Comm Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, the police will be conducting a detailed investigation on the matter.
“Initial investigation found that the incident occurred between 1am to 2am on 9th December 2021, involving seven students, all of which were aged 13.”
The matter will be investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
Let’s hope that the police get to the bottom of this and put a stop to bullying for good.
