Calling all the young adults, this one’s for you.

It’s no secret that it’s been an insane year, but we can finally say that 2021 might be the year for young adults! Our government is giving the younger generation a chance to have a say in how the funding for Budget 2021 will be used and are looking for suggestions and ideas to help empower youth in education and economic standing.

As according to Astro Awani, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said that the government will be stepping up their efforts to help the younger generation succeed at life as youths are the main contributors to the nation’s development agenda.

He also noted that the younger generation was at the forefront of helping communities affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and that the government is aware that the younger generation is in need of support in terms of good public education and economically speaking, a chance to be independent and succeed.

“Opportunities should be provided for all whether they have academic or vocational qualifications. All this will be fine-tuned during the preparation of Budget 2021. I would like to invite all the people, including youths to share their ideas and proposals for consideration for Budget 2021,” he said.

All proposals can be emailed over to the Finance Ministry at ym.vog.yrusaertobfsctd-7fb492@1202.

Meanwhile, Tengku Zafrul also added that his ministry is planning to provide a platform to teach the younger generation better financial management.

“Financial knowledge is very important in helping a person find their direction in life,” he added, explaining that he will be encouraging youths to seek the road to financial literacy.
