Believe it or not, as of tomorrow (29th April), it will be 35 years since McDonald’s opened in Malaysia. Can you believe that? This is making us feel old!
To celebrate, McDonald’s Malaysia took to their official Facebook page to announce that they’ll be having a special treat for all Malaysians.
“We are celebrating this special occasion at our first restaurant in Malaysia, the iconic McDonald’s Jalan Bukit Bintang, this Saturday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.”
The famous and well-loved fast food franchise will be having a bunch of activities, including face-painting, balloon sculpting, and giveaways at their very first McDonald’s outlet in Bukit Bintang tomorrow. Ronald McDonald is also set to make an appearance!
They also took the opportunity to post a few vintage pictures of the famous Bukit Bintang outlet when it first opened in 1982, giving Malaysians some major throwback feels.
Look how different Bukit Bintang was wei!
They also did a comparison of how, after 35 years, this is how the store looks like now!
The photos of old-school McDonalds quickly circulated all over Facebook, causing many Malaysians to reminisce the good old days.
We’re looking forward to see what McDonald’s has in store for Malaysians tomorrow. We’re sure Malaysians will be lovin’ it! 😉
