If you are a fan of anime, then you are probably aware of the Anime Fest at Paradigm Mall held by Comic Fiesta. After a long hiatus for the past two years due to the pandemic, the comic and anime fans finally get to join the fun together.

The Anime Fest is held from 12 to 16 May 2022. According to Paradigm Mall PJ on 14 May, the overwhelming crowd response has resulted in 100 per cent car park occupancy, thus the mall suggests other means of transportation for those who are planning to join the fest today and tomorrow.

“As our Car Park is now at 100% occupancy, we would like to advise other means of transport or suggest to drop by tomorrow or Monday (15 or 16 May 2022) to attend Anime Fest. For any Parking related matters, please feel free to head over to Concierge Counter, Level G,” the statement says.

In pictures and a live video shared by Facebook users Tenkawa Akito and Cammy Yong yesterday (14 May 2022), there was a scarily large crowd at the Anime Fest. Though, according to the mall’s statement, they will do their level best to manage the crowd and traffic in & surrounding the mall.

“We understand that the crowd’s response for Anime Fest is fantastic, we would like to remind everyone to maintain SOP while enjoying the event,” it says. The mall also urged visitors to be patient with each other and provide support to the security & management staff.

Besides, Twitter user paultantk also shared a screenshot of the traffic navigating application Waze, showing that there was standstill traffic in Klang Valley that is possibly caused by the event. Similar pictures of the “sardine” crowd were also shared under the tweet.

We understand that many are eager to visit the anime event after years of lockdown, however, do not forget to follow the SOPs to protect yourself and others while having fun. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
