The point in marketing a product is to make it seem as appealing as possible so that consumers will buy them. More often than not, the marketing posters and advertisements would depict a better looking product than the actual one.
After KFC Singapore’s previous viral fail with their Chizza, Malaysia’s KFC joined suit! It seems none of the products have ever failed as much as this recent KFC Zinger Slider.
The picture shows what should have been a huge chunk of deep fried chicken, a big leafy lettuce, and a generous amount of cheese sauce on top, sandwiched between two freshly baked buns.
As much as all consumers know the term “image is for illustration purposes only”, this is taking it wayyy to far!
For the very unlucky Yong Yon, he got the saddest excuse for a product yet.

Yes, the shock from Colonel Sanders says it all.
Dissatisfied with how vast of a difference in quality between the advertised product and the actual thing he got, Yong Yon decided to share a picture of it with KFC via Facebook.
He wrote,
“Hi KFC, I just had my late lunch at one of your branch at Gong Badak, Kuala Terengganu. I’ve been told not to buy any side order except fried chicken.
“I ordered a zinger slider at your branch but what I got just ‘impressed’ me. Do you have any explanation for this?”
After a couple days, KFC replied saying,
“Hi Yong Yon, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do take the quality of our products and services seriously throughout our restaurants in Malaysia.
“Our Operations Team has been informed and would like to look into this further.
“As such, we would appreciate if you could PM us with your name, contact number and email address, along with the date and time of incident so that we may take necessary action on this.
“Thank you.”
Many netizens couldn’t help but be amused at the man’s sad meal, while others shared that they too once felt cheated by KFC’s failure to deliver finger lickin’ good food.
“Kfc is encouraging to makan sihat.. small portion lower cholesterol ahahahaha” one wrote.
Meanwhile, another guy joked,
“Maybe the chicken ‘slide’ away…”
Anyway, we hope that man finally got his finger lickin’ good meal!
