Malaysians were recently shocked to discover that an apartment building in Subang Jaya, Selangor, is allegedly charging visitors RM2 to enter the premises and the same amount to exit the premises.
Netizen Madanass took to their Threads page to share the discovery.

An apartment building in Subang Jaya charges visitors RM2 each time they enter and exit the premises
They wrote, “Is it normal for visitors to pay RM2 to enter the residences? And RM2 to exit? What is the motive here?”
Madanass also shared an image from the entrance of the apartment building, which showcases how the apartment building management has gone ‘cashless’ by pasting their QR code at the entrance of the premises for visitors to scan and make the payments.
“Is there a petting zoo inside?”
Malaysians were left confused by the charges and questioned why visitors had to pay to enter and exit.

“(Are the charges for) the security guards’ wages to open and close the pedestrian gate or what?”

“It’s even free to enter a library, do they think they’re a museum? What artefacts do they have inside?”

“Do they have a petting zoo inside the residences that requires charges?”

“This isn’t normal.”
