Vending machines are great and convenient inventions that can dispense all sorts of items. In the past, they were primarily used to sell items such as drinks and snacks but it looks like the items being sold now are getting wackier and wackier, such as this mystery box vending machine, which functions exactly like what it sounds like.

You pay a certain amount of money and you’ll receive a surprise gift from the vending machine itself. Sounds fun! While this concept isn’t exactly new in other countries, did you know that we have our very own machines in Malaysia too? Yes, we do!

Based on several Facebook posts recently, a company known as Vendream has just launched their mystery box concept vending machine, which is modelled after the ones that went viral in Taiwan and Japan.

Based on the same concept, these machines offer you a chance of nabbing awesome prizes with every round you play. For RM10, you stand a chance of winning prizes such as branded bags, Sunway Lagoon vouchers, Playstation 4, G-shock watches, Instax Mini and many more. Wah, I already feel like playing!

Don’t worry if you don’t get any of these items because there is bound to be something in the box such as eye masks, snacks, pouches, sunglasses and various other quirky gifts.

It’s super simple to use too; all you have to do is change your money to RM10 notes, insert the money into the designated slot, and then choose any number you like. The machine will dispense the box you have chosen and you’ll get to enjoy the excitement of opening the mystery box to discover whether you are lucky enough to score one of the big prizes!

If you are one of the lucky ones, all you have to do is contact Vendream to claim your big prize and they’ll gladly arrange for it to be sent to you.
