A Malaysian car wash owner was fatally shot multiple times outside his premises last night (16 January).
The incident occurred at around 10:20 PM along Jalan Besar Permatang Keling, Nibong Tebal, Kedah. The 38‑year‑old victim was standing in front of his premises when he was approached by two men riding a motorcycle.

One of the suspects then fired more than six shots at close range, causing the victim to suffer severe injuries to multiple parts of his body.
According to reports by China Press and Sin Chew, the assailants were masked and wearing helmets. They arrived at the scene on a motorcycle, with one suspect remaining on the vehicle while the other dismounted and shot the victim.
It was reported that the victim operated a car wash during the day and ran a restaurant adjacent to the car wash premises at night
After being shot, the man attempted to flee to a nearby area but collapsed in a ditch due to multiple gunshot wounds. He sustained injuries to his body and legs and was rushed to Parit Buntar Hospital for emergency treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.
The case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. A post‑mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted at Taiping Hospital today (17 January).

When contacted by MalaysiaGazette, Pulau Pinang Police Chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed the incident. As of the time of writing, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in Kedah has yet to issue an official statement.
