If you’re feeling like travelling with style, then this is for you.
With the borders opening up since the transition into endemicity, many people have taken the opportunity to check a long overdue to-do list – traveling. This time, KTMB is giving you a chance to travel like a boss.
Look no further than the KTM Luxury Train. In case you’re wondering how luxurious it is, it comes with a karaoke room, en suite bathroom, private rooms, and more where passengers can travel in a Victorian style. According to the Facebook page Travel Rookie, the rental for the luxury train service is now available.
As of now, there are no fixed routes but passengers are free to choose their destinations, which go as far as Hatyai, Thailand!
The Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke said that passengers are welcome to rent the luxury train services to hold events, such as weddings or company celebrations. He attended the Hari Raya celebration organised by KTMB last week and during the press conference, Anthony assured the public that the train is well equipped.
WORLD OF BUZZ reached out to KTMB to ask for more information about the train, which is officially known as the Reserved Saloon Coach under the Charter Train category.
The Reserved Saloon Coach is meant for group travellers and the destination varies, depending on their preferences. Passengers are required to book at least 3 custom-made coaches which will be combined with other passengers’ coaches.
KTMB also told WORLD OF BUZZ that it does not run every day or on a fixed schedule. When asked about the pricing, KTMB said it depends on the number of travel days, the distance of travelling, and any add-on services, if available. However, based on a report by Sin Chew, Anthony Loke said that the price will be affordable.
The Reserved Saloon Coach also consists of a master bedroom, lounge, dining area, and 2 single bedrooms.
In case you’re interested, you can contact 03-22631078 to understand more about KTMB’s charter train as the reservation can only be made via phone call at the time being.
Fellow Malaysians, if you’re looking to travel like a King or Queen, will you consider the Reserved Saloon Coach?
