On the ELITE highway, a video of this lopsided truck went viral as the driver from a Negeri Sembilan-based towing company failed to observe rules and regulations, resulting in the heavy load he was carrying to tilt awkwardly.

In a series of videos that were shared, the trailer was spotted driving along the ELITE highway with its load, a damaged truck, almost falling off its trailer, which is a violation of traffic laws.

According to the Subang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, the 23-year-old driver has since been detained and slapped with a fine of RM2,000 for his violation.

Netizens commenting on the video had this to say.

“I can’t believe that in Malaysia, this is allowed to happen.”

Another commented, “Don’t they know just how dangerous it is?

Placing the fault on the failure of the operator to secure his load onto the truck bed, it is a good thing that his mistakes did not lead to more serious conclusions.

What say you? Is the RM2,000 fine enough to deter such incidents from happening again in the future? Share with us your thoughts in the comments section below.
