According to a taxi driver who was at the terminal, he said that he was talking with 3 of his friends around 9am when the cleaning lady shouted at them for help. She said that there was a clogged toilet bowl and the water was red, reported Malay Mail.

The taxi driver said,

“At first, we thought someone threw a sanitary pad, but upon checking, we saw an umbilical cord. One of us used a wire to remove the umbilical cord.”

Even after removing it, the water did not recede and that’s when they thought that there may be a baby stuck inside the toilet bowl. They then called the police to report their discovery.

After the first round of investigations, the police said that the victim was a fully-formed premature baby boy. They added,

“A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at the terminal found a woman in black entered the toilet at 5.58am with a luggage bag and came out 30 minutes later wearing baju kurung.”

The police are now tracking down the woman and also the taxi driver who dropped her off at the bus terminal to help out with investigations.

The body of the baby was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for a post-mortem and this case will be investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code or concealment of birth by secret disposal of the deceased baby.

Oh no! That’s such a sad thing to hear! To think, the kid’s life taken away just like that.
