Low-income groups aged 40-years-old and above, who are also recipients of the Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) initiative will receive additional aid through the Skim Peduli Kesihatan for B40 groups (PeKa B40).

Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin took to his Facebook page to introduce this new initiative to the public.

“PeKa B40 aims to meet the health needs of low-income groups by focusing on non-communicable diseases,”

“Among the benefits of the PeKa B40 scheme are health screenings, medical device assistance, incentives to complete cancer treatment and transportation fare incentives,” he said.

Here is the assistance available under PeKa B40:

  • Free health screenings
  • Medical aid of up to RM20,000
  • Incentive to complete cancer treatment of RM1,000
  • Transportation fare incentive of up to RM1,000

He added that you can browse the PeKa B40 website to check your eligibility and the locations of clinics registered under ProtectHealth to benefit from this initiative.

“Tell your family members about this PeKa B40 scheme if they are 40-years-old and above, and if they are recipients of the Bantuan Sara Hidup (now known as BPR) to receive the these benefits,” he added.

What do you think of this great new initiative to help low-income families meet their health needs? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
