KJ: 4 Mega PPVs to Reopen Next Week to Increase Covid-19 Booster Shot Administration
With the administration of booster shots now fully on the way, the reopening of more vaccination centres have been announced.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced yesterday (6 January) that 4 mega Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPVs) in the Klang Valley will begin to operate on 15 January.
They will be offerring booster shots in a bid to increase the take-up rate for the 3rd dose, stated Khairy.
The PPVs set to make a comeback are the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil, Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam (IDCC) and the Soka Gakkai Klang.
“To increase the capacity of offering booster shots in the Klang Valley, 4 integrated PPVs with a large scale capacity have been identified and will begin to operate on 15 January.”
“All booster appointments will be given through the MySejahtera application or short message service (SMS),” explained Khairy.
However, individuals who wish to get their booster shots urgently but have yet to receive an appointment via MySejahtera can also contact the general practitioners (GPs) PPVs listed on the ProtectHealth website to register on the waiting list.
