With booster shots now being available to the public, vaccines are once again the talk of the town. However, it seems that anti-vaxxers are still finding excuses to not take the vaccine.

Recently, a “screenshot” of our Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin’s vaccination status was circulated all over social media.

The “screenshot” featured what seemed to be Khairy’s personal details as well as the fact that he has apparently not received his 1st dose of the Covid-19 vaccine which was “in the process”.

A netizen tagged Khairy on Twitter, demanding an answer as the image had gone viral. The image also led to anti-vaxxers questioning the need to take vaccine jabs if our own Minister of Health himself has not received the jab.

KJ responds to the screenshots

Just a day after the screenshot made its way online, it caught the attention of KJ who immediately responded to the allegations.

He explained and clarified that these were all false claims made in regards to his vaccination status.

According to Khairy, the website that was used to check on his vaccination status in the screenshot was the previous website used during the initial stage of the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program (PICK) to facilitate the review to the public.

As the vaccinated population of adults in Malaysia reached 90% as of last October, the website is no longer in use and updated.

He went on to list out and provide every single detail regarding when he took both of his vaccine doses.

According to the images provided, his 1st vaccine shot was on 18 March 2021, his 2nd was on 8 April 2021 and his booster shot was in September.

Khairy clarified to the public that it is obvious that he has already taken his 1st dose as it was aired live on national television. He even inserted a link to the video so that people can watch.

“I urge the public not to be swayed by the actions of irresponsible parties to deny the country’s vaccination efforts.”

Denying all of the false allegations made, Khairy ended his post by reminding people not to easily trust outside sources that deny our country’s vaccination effort.
