Huckleberry Damansara Heights just reported that one of their own kitchen helpers tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement put up on their premise, the management said that the staff did not report to work on 1 October and was not contactable. On 6 October, he calls to inform the management that he went to get tested on 3 October and his results came back today (6 October) as positive for Covid-19.
“The said staff has not been on the premise since 30 September 2020, nor has he been in contact with any other colleagues during this time. His case is a locally transmitted one after being in contact with a friend who subsequently tested positive,” added the statement.
It was emphasised that the staff did not contract the virus from anyone on Huckleberry’s premises. However, they did say that the premise will be closed for “thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning.” They added that all staff are being tested and will report their results for everybody’s peace of mind.
This is the first case in the outlet hence the management is working closely with MOH for further instruction. “We also would like to emphasise the importance of social distancing, hygiene, and transparency to everyone within our community at this time. Should you feel under the weather or have been exposed to a high-risk individual, we urge that you stay home for yourself and for the greater community.”
Stay informed and stay safe, everybody!
