The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) recently shared a wholesome moment involving two of its officers who went beyond the call of duty to help an elderly Malaysian motorcyclist who ran out of petrol.
Taking to its official Facebook page, a video from the Seri Alam District Police showed a kind police officer pushing the man’s motorcycle to a fuel station.
In the 12-second video, the elderly man, wearing a Baju Melayu and Songkok can be seen walking behind the police officer.
In the caption, PDRM elaborated that two of its mobile patrol vehicle (MPV) unit officers, Lance Corporal Mohd Nasrull Muridin and Lance Corporal Lee Ah Sui came across the elderly man while patrolling in and around Masai, Johor.
Concerned by the man’s plight when they found out that his motorcycle had run out of petrol, both officers decided to go beyond the call of duty and help him.
They gave the elderly man a ride on their MPV vehicle to the petrol station while one of the officers push the motorcycle in the hot weather.
After ensuring that the elderly man had filled up his motorcycle with petrol and was okay to continue his journey, they parted ways and the officers continued with their patrolling task.

In the post, PDRM said that the actions of the two patrolling police officers set an example for its other uniformed officers to follow.
