The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kepong, Lim Lip Eng, is calling on the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud, to clear the random piles of refuse across the city within two weeks.
He warned that failure to do so may result in his inability to prevent a potential protest outside Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

A ‘civilised’ warning
Taking to his Facebook page, Lim shared that a suggestion had been made to move rubbish piles to the entrance of DBKL as a form of protest against the city’s ongoing waste management issues.
He wrote:
“Lim Lip Eng, MP for Kepong, issued a stern warning today (Saturday, 28 February) regarding the long-standing problem of uncollected garbage in various areas of Kuala Lumpur, demanding that the Mayor resolve the issue within two weeks or face the consequences.”
Lim further added:
“I previously discouraged a suggestion to move garbage piles to the entrance of DBKL as a protest, as I believe such actions are uncivilised. However, if the problem continues to drag on, I cannot guarantee how much longer I can prevent it.”
