A Japanese netizen is calling out irresponsible fans of a Malaysian football club for placing stickers at a stadium in Hiroshima.
The social media user, @kiyotantaka0526, took to X to showcase a sticker in support of the Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT). The sticker had been placed on a pole outside the Hiroshima Soccer Stadium, currently known as the Edion Peace Wing Hiroshima.

The netizen wrote:
“Let’s stop the habit of sticking stickers on facilities at other people’s stadiums before heading home, shall we? I’m not naming any particular team.”
Removal and reactions
The user later clarified that they had since removed the sticker and noted that there was another one stuck just below it. The first sticker reportedly read, “Johor is the real Asian level.”
@kiyotantaka0526 added: “[The sticker] was neatly peeled off. There was another one further down, a dark blue team-related sticker.”
A divided online response
The incident has sparked a debate regarding fan etiquette. While many Malaysians flooded the post to apologise for the irresponsible behaviour, others were disgruntled that the sticker was being called out, especially as JDT had just celebrated advancing to the AFC Champions League Elite quarter-finals at that very stadium.

“We, as Malaysian citizens, feel ashamed. Please forgive us.”

“Such ‘rempit‘ behaviour is so shameful. Don’t normalise bringing a ‘kampung’ attitude everywhere. It embarrasses Malaysia.”

“It’s just a sticker; it can be peeled off. It’s not like it was scribbled using spray paint. Why make such a fuss?”
