Sometimes, it’s the simplest things in life that give you the most joy and nothing exemplifies this more than these kids in Indonesia.

Going viral online, a video of the Indonesian kids waiting by the roadside just to hear a bus’ rhythmic horns has garnered over 5.3 million views and more than 129,000 likes as of the time of writing.

The video, shared by Asmawibraw on Facebook has also received over 4,100 comments, most of which said they watched the video with a smile on their faces as it reminded them of the innocence of youth and how happiness can stem from the unlikeliest of places.

In the video, a group of children can be seen gathering and waiting by the roadside while a purple bus can be seen in the distance.

As the purple bus got nearer, the driver then pressed the vehicle’s horn, which turned out to be multi-toned and rhythmic, developing into a catchy song.

Once the bus played the rhythmic horn, the kids all jump and dance in joy while waving at the bus.

As the traffic was slow moving, the bus driver was able to play two more songs with the vehicle’s horn while passing by the kids. Aptly enough, the second song played was the famous nursery rhyme Old MacDonald Had a Farm.

After the purple bus had passed by, the kids waved and waited for the next bus to play a rhythmic song but rather anti-climatically, the following two buses only had a monotone horn. Lame!

In the comments section, many netizens said that they are amused by the kids’ antics and thanked the bus driver for making the children happy.

One commenter said that the video showed that you don’t need expensive things to be joyful, while another asserted that the bus driver deserves respect for making other people happy.

Well, if this were to happen in Malaysia, the bus driver and their vehicle may be subject to action by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) as it is actually illegal to have more than one tone for your vehicle’s horn in our country, though admittedly, multi-tone horns are also quite widespread in our country despite this law.

So, what do you guys think of the video? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
