Everyone’s safety is a priority regardless of where they are. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances are bound to happen sometimes, no matter how many precautions you take.

Just recently, a 16-year-old teenager was caught red-handed after appearing in the ladies with a knife, scaring a Malaysian woman in the restroom of a Cheras mall who saw him from the reflection of the mirror. The woman’s boyfriend, waiting outside the restroom, immediately rushed in after hearing her scream.

“The man came out from 1 of the toilet cubicles and rushed towards me with a knife.”

The man tried to escape but to no avail, as the woman’s boyfriend confronted the perpetrator and stopped him from leaving before seeking help from bystanders and the security guards.

In an interview with China Press, the 26-year-old boyfriend said that the attacker tried swinging his knife at him a few times before he was subdued. However, he put aside the risk of getting injured as he was trying to protect his girlfriend and others in case the teen with the knife escaped.

He was brought to the security guard’s room before PDRM arrived at the scene, and the couple followed the officers to the station to lodge a report.

It was also revealed that it wasn’t the teenager’s first ever rodeo as he was caught twice in the past, and it was his fifth time going into the ladies bathroom. When confronted, the teen admitted to having an addiction to women and money, and explicit photos were also found on his phone.

Police also believed that the knife was bought before he entered the restroom as the price tag was still attached to the weapon.
