Smoking kills. It’s not only harmful to your lungs but also to others who are exposed to secondhand smoke. A girl in Indonesia, however, saw it fit to ‘educate’ a cat to smoke.

In a viral clip that has been circulating on social media, the 18-year-old girl was seen forcefully putting a lit cigarette into a cat’s mouth. When she failed to do so, she put the cigarette back into her mouth and puffed the smoke onto the feline’s face.

The cat immediately jumped down from the bench and ran away after what she did to it.

She has since received threats from many netizens who told her that they were going to pay her a visit for doing such an act, but the girl was not intimidated. Little did she know, some people did eventually come knocking at her front door, and it was the police. They had a chat about the animal abuse, and the woman later shared an apology video, saying that she was joking.

“I apologise to everyone and all animal lovers. I was just joking and had no intention to harm animals,” she said in the clip, which you can watch here.

It’s never pleasant to inhale secondhand smoke, especially when someone puffs right into your face.
