Recently, about 4 people were left injured after being attacked by 2 rottweilers that had escaped from their owner’s house in Kuala Ketil, Baling, Kedah.
One of the victims, 28-year-old Ahmed Abdel Tawwab recently expressed that his anger was directed not at the dogs, but at their owner for failing to ensure the safety of the neighborhood.

In an interview with the New Straits Times, he recounted the terrifying experience, “I do not blame the dogs, I blame the owner. If you live in a neighborhood, the least you can do is ensure your pets are not a danger to others.”
“The house where the dogs came from is about 300 meters from mine. How could they have come that far and attacked people without anyone stopping them?”
The early morning attack left Ahmed with severe bite wounds on his limbs and deep emotional scars.
“I was on my porch when the dogs came from behind and attacked me. I screamed for help. Luckily, my neighbors came to chase them away,” he shared.
“But by then I was bleeding badly. I crawled back behind my gate and lay there for nearly half an hour before the ambulance arrived. I thought I was going to die.”
Ahmed said the memory of the attack continues to haunt him, “I could not sleep last night. It keeps replaying in my mind like a nightmare. The pain from the wounds is terrible, but the mental toll is even worse.”

He also shared that the owner later visited at the hospital to apologise and offered RM100 to cover medical expenses.
“I declined politely. The apology and that amount do not even come close to covering the damage done. My hospital bills alone have reached RM25,000. The entire neighborhood is traumatised, and we are all still shaken.”
“This owner must face the consequences. Too many people in this neighborhood have suffered.”
We wish him a speedy recovery.
