A Malaysian mother who is ill refused to take the advice of her children and decided not to see the doctor to cure her ailments.

Facebook page Xuan shared the anonymous dilemma of the said woman in her 50s, who did not disclose the illness she is struggling with but highlighted her dread of being asked to visit the doctor.

In the post, the woman confessed to wanting to live the remainder of her life to the fullest and to do what she wants.

“I’m over 50 now, shouldn’t I be doing what I want and not be tormented by receiving treatments?”

According to her, the children have been persuading her to visit the hospital in the hope of curing her ailments. Despite acknowledging their care, the woman expressed her biggest fear of receiving treatment – not living her life despite being alive.

“I’ve been listening to others my entire adulthood when I was young. I didn’t visit the doctors back then so that I could have enough money for my children. I took care of everything at home so that my husband could work.”

“Now, my children expect me to go through another torment by receiving treatment, just so I can stay alive,” she explained.

Although she did not reveal her ailments, the woman hinted at the torture and pain she is going through – sleepless nights due to coughing, unexplained pain in her bones, and the inability to taste.

“I notice all the changes in my body, I know that more than anyone else. I don’t want my illness to dictate how I live, I want to spend the rest of my live doing what I like, not breathing the hospital air and staying bedridden.”
