In an interview, designer Radzuan Radziwil recently shared that he will not offer larger sizes in his designs as he wants to educate the public on the importance of living healthily.
“I do not encourage customers to wear clothes larger than size XL because, to me, health is more important than just fashion.”
“In my opinion, size XL is already large enough, and I do not want to encourage customers towards larger sizes,” he explained.

However, his statements appeared to have divided Malaysians.
Taking to Threads, a netizen wrote, “People are built differently. Some ‘trim’ individuals can’t even wear XL due to their bone structure, it is not even about being fat.”
“You could have said this a bit more empathetically,” they added.

On the other hand, another netizen stood up for this statement.
“He is a designer. I doubt it will hurt his business. Hit the treadmill, lift weights then you can wear whatever.”
“Someone needs a reality check. Wearing XL means you are fat, unless you are built like WWE wrestlers then you can talk about body structure,” said a user.
One commented, “I think he was polite with his statement and it does make sense. He didn’t mean to offend but places huge emphasis on being healthy.”
