Chief of Perak PAS, Haji Razman Zakaria claimed that Hannah Yeoh is the daughter of the late Yeoh Tiong Lay, the founder of YTL Corporation Berhad, an integrated infrastructure developer.

He mentioned “Hannah Yeoh’s alleged family tree” during a speech last night (January 26) in the state, dubbing Hannah Yeoh “the daughter of a rich man” and the “daughter of the founder of YTL Corporation.”

The 20-second clip went viral on social media and it didn’t take long for the Minister of Youth & Sports, Hannah Yeoh herself to respond briefly via her X post.

“PAS needs to know not all Yeohs are related.”

The PAS Perak Chief responds

Just today (January 27), Haji Razman Zakria responded to the viral video and said the video has been edited for the media “to make a headline” out of the matter. In his Facebook post, the Chief of Perak PAS admitted that he disseminated inaccurate information regarding Hannah Yeoh’s “family tree” during the speech.

“The information that I said about Hannah Yeoh, it was a blunder from my side.”

Previously, PAS’ Siti Mastura, who is also the MP for Kepala Batas, Penang claimed that Lim Guan Eng and his father, Lim Kit Siang were related to Lee Kuan Yew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore.

Lim Guan Eng sued Siti Mastura for RM830,000, to which the latter had deposited the full amount, reported Berita Harian.

What do you think of this error?
