Relieved!

The “grenade” looking object found at the Tun Razak Exchange construction site is actually a power bank.

On 7 May 2021, the police force and the Bomb Destruction Unit (UPB) team deployed to the construction site after receiving a call regarding the “grenade” found. The forensic team also arrived.

According to District Police Chief Dang Wangi and Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, police received the call at 12.41pm noon.

He added that the authorities were worried that there will be other “bombs” or “grenades” around the area. However, after the inspection done by the Bomb Destruction Unit team, the object concerned was found to be a mobile charger of the brand Remax.
