Four days ago, we reported that K-pop idol Goo Hara was found dead as she apparently committed suicide due to depression. Fans were devastated by the news because not too long ago, we lost another K-pop idol (Sulli) to suicide. FYI, Sulli & Goo Hara were reportedly friends.
Following that, Allkpop shared that her older brother revealed some devastating text messages that he had sent to Hara. In the messages, Hara’s brother tried to cheer her up by pleading her to stay healthy and not let toxic thoughts break her spirit.

Here’s the translation (which was interpreted by Allkpop) for the text messages above:
Older brother: “I beg of you. Don’t think bad thoughts and don’t hurt. Stay healthy and as time passes (by), get married, have kids, and live your days well. When you’re sad, just cry it out and let it out. I love you, my sister.”
Hara: “I love you, Oppa! Don’t worry!”
Older brother: “I know you must be sad. My heart is sad too. Eat lots of yummy food in Japan.”

Many believe that this exchange of messages happened prior to her death at her home in Cheongdam-dong, Southern Seoul. It’s really devastating that Goo Hara couldn’t get the help which she needed to treat her depression; we extend our condolences to her family and hopefully, they stay strong during this ordeal.
