Dinner on Valentine’s Day is unavoidable every year, and you’re expected to spend some money for a night to remember. However, a lucky man in Singapore didn’t have to pay for his Valentine’s dinner bill, because his boss offered to settle the bill for him!

On the Chinese platform Xiao Hong Shu, a Singapore woman shared a screenshot of a conversation with her husband, who had good news for her a few days prior to Valentine’s Day

“My boss is treating us to Valentine’s Day dinner. He asked me to find a restaurant, and send him the bill when we’re done,” he told her.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the woman said that her husband, who is a manager at his workplace has been working at the insurance company for about 10 years now.

The woman also said that her husband’s boss is well-known for his kindness and generosity.

“Occasionally, he brings his employees to company dinners, trips and give them bonuses too.”

She added that initially, she did not plan and expect a Valentine’s Day dinner with her husband as the couple is in the midst of managing their finances to buy a new house. Upon the offer by her husband’s manager, the couple took the opportunity to celebrate the night.

Apparently, the free dinner was not the only surprise that day. The boss allowed all employees to leave the office early to celebrate Valentine’s Day with their respective partners.

Since then, many netizens have expressed their shock and said that they are envious of her husband who has a good employer.

Fellow Malaysians, how was your Valentine Day’s dinner? Where did you bring your partner to, and what do you think of the place? Fellow employers, do you see yourself generously treating your best employee to a fancy dinner?
