It looks like there may be more trouble in store for Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos, if when he comes back! In his haste to leave his home and go into hiding, he must have missed out on taking care of his staff and they aren’t too happy about it.
Sinchew reported that a man, who claims that he provides security services for Jamal’s residence, has lodged a police report. He alleges that four mysterious men had broken in to Jamal’s home at 8.30am on June 17 and taken off with some valuables from the house.
The man, who said that he is the manager of the security company, made the report yesterday (June 19) as his staff told him they saw the four men in Jamal’s home. Apparently, one of the four strange men said that he was Jamal’s bodyguard while another said that they were only doing this because Jamal did not pay their salaries.
They had broken into his house and helped themselves to some of the valuables that were lying around including one large bag of clothes, three mobile phones, 20 designer glasses, 20 designer handbags and two CCTV decoders. That’s quite an assortment of things! The total value of the looted items remains unknown.
The manager who made the police report said that he did so because he wanted it on official record so that Jamal could be easily reimbursed for his losses from the insurance company. The police said that they found five different fingerprints in Jamal’s house and that his home was in a mess, although it could have been due to raids done by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) before this.
As the CCTV decoders were gone, the police could not view any footage but currently, they are investigating it under Section 380 of the Penal Code. Jamal, whose location is unknown and is still a wanted man, has not made any response, but yet, he has time to offer himself as a candidate for Umno Youth Chief. Priorities eh?
Time to come back, Jamal! Your staff is getting angry too!
