As a foodies’ haven, Malaysia has a lot to boast about when it comes to the variety and quality of food available here. We take our food very seriously and this is reflected in the number of food content creators who’re finding a career in reviewing and recommending food.

It seems like ex-Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri is also hopping on the bandwagon after uploading a TikTok video introducing his favourite foods yesterday.

“These are my favourite foodsikan singgang, braised-fried fish, cow’s tongue masak merah, fried cow’s tongue and omelette,” he said in the video as he gets ready to feast on his dinner at Wan Zah Ikan Singgang, KL.

He seemed to be really enjoying his time there and this was picked up by netizens who commented on how happy and healthy he looks now.

“Uncle looks happier,” said one netizen.

They also joked about how after Khairy Jamaluddin started his new career as a Hot FM radio presenter, Ismail Sabri is also moving on from politics to be a “food reviewer”.

“KJ becomes a DJ and Pak Mail becomes a food reviewer.”
