Former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is a popular figure in Malaysia, even though he is no longer an active participant in our country’s political scene.
After losing in the 15th General Election (GE15), Khairy has focused his attention on other endeavours, including becoming a radio DJ with Hot FM and the Director of the Malaysian football club JDT.
Recently, the former Health Minister even showed off his musical prowess alongside his talented family in an Instagram post that has since gone viral with over 18,000 likes.
In the post, Khairy shared a video of him and his family covering the classic Hari Raya song Suasana Hari Raya by Dato’ Sharifah Aini.
Making a rock cover of the popular festive song, the video was made in collaboration with teachers from Iron Wood, with the former Health Minister on lead guitar.
The video also showed Khairy’s three sons, Jibreil Ali Jamaluddin, Timor Abdullah Jamaluddin dan Raif Averroes Jamaluddin on various musical instruments. His wife, Nori Abdullah also didn’t miss out on showing her musical prowess by playing the bass.

In the comments section of the Instagram post, netizens were awed by Khairy and his family’s musical capabilities. Moreover, many were also impressed by Khairy’s versatility.
One commenter asserted,
“He can be a Minister, DJ and even play musical instruments. Won’t be surprised if he started a cooking show to compete with Khairul Aming.”
Meanwhile, another commenter said that if Khairy became Prime Minister, Malaysia would go on to be viral globally. Others expressed their amazement at his wife and sons’ musical capabilities, asserting that all of them are really talented.
