In his latest live address to the nation today, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that ALL Ramadan Bazaars across Malaysia will be forbidden from operating during the duration of the Movement Control Order. This comes after much speculation surrounded the viability of hosting the ever popular bazaars this year, with many Malaysians also voicing out their concerns that these open-air venues may become a hotspot for Covid-19 cases.

Previously, the Federal Territories Minister, Annuar Musa, has been considering 66 locations in both Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to be used as venues for Ramadan Bazaars, while also discussing on alternatives possible for Malaysians to continue visiting Ramadan Bazaars during this period, such as drive-throughs or delivery.

What do you guys think of this development?
