Rumor has it that Darsa Fried Chicken is closing, but is that the truth?
An image showing the fast food restaurant without a single customer recently circulated on social media, sparking rumors that the business has ended its chapter. The picture also shows parts of the roller shutter door that were closed, as well as a notice on the glass door.
DFC’s management confirmed in an official statement that the company is still very much operational and that business is still booming.
DFC also explained the nature of the viral picture, saying,
“The picture was taken during a calm morning when our employees are working hard to prepare the fried chickens for the customers. We are always doing our best for customers’ satisfaction.”
DFC also posted another video yesterday (September 13) to clarify that the business is still happening, and customers are still coming.
Regarding the attached notice paper, DFC said the notice was merely to inform others that the businesses have been registered under the Service Tax Act 2018.
“It needs to be displayed as a reference for customers who come to visit.”
However, that was not all. DFC also has a surprise in store for its fans and customers—a second Darsa Fried Chicken outlet will open soon!
“Better facilities and more parking”
In an announcement video on Thursday (September 12), DFC revealed the location of its second outlet in Kajang.
Customers can also expect better facilities and ample parking at the 2nd outlet. The opening date, however, has yet to be revealed.
“You can come here with your family and friends. One of the best things about this outlet is it’s short distance from the highway. After the exit, you can’t miss us.”
DFC went viral earlier this year after its “Type C” comment went viral, and management has since apologised for the matter and assured Malaysians that they would improve.
Congratulations, DFC, on its upcoming outlet! Will you be visiting?
