A recent CNY deco in Indonesia that features rabbits “infected with zombie virus” has freaked netizens out, and we’re just glad that we don’t have any failed decorations that become a debate among us. Or do we?
Just last night (January 16), local radio host, Chan Fong shared a discovery at a mall in KL on his Facebook post. Upon entering the mall, he was greeted by a standing mannequin in Cheongsam, but something was not right about the mannequin.
The longer you stare into the eyes of the mannequin, the more you realise you don’t wanna be looking at it. Thanks to the lighting, it has given visitors an eerie vibe. A spotlight shines on the mannequin from the bottom.
“What is this? It scared me to death,” he said in between laughs.
Chan Fong, however, did not state the location of the mall.
Is this CNY, or Hungry Ghost Festival?
Was he the only one seemingly frightened by the mannequin? According to the comment sections, not exactly. Many Malaysians have since commented and expressed what they felt about the mannequin.
“It’s not even CNY, but Hungry Ghost Festival is already here.”
“Embracing the Hungry Ghost Festival, but not CNY.”
“I laughed for minutes.”
“It’s really creepy.”
“That’s scary.”
In the meantime, the Facebook pageMalaysia Shopping Mall also shared images of the scary mannequin, and similarly, many netizens don’t think that it reflects a CNY deco. The page also claimed the mannequin shown in the pictures is at Wangsa Walk Mall, KL.
“The spotlight was placed at the wrong spot. Scary mall vibes.”
這新年裝飾很驚人 !??
