In this day and age, many people are going single due to the dating market being saturated with people who are either incompatible or don’t actually want to settle down. Things become more difficult if you come from a place where choices are scarce due to small populations.
One single man in China though, who has apparently never had a girlfriend, decided to take things into his own hands by getting his cousin who works in Zambia to help him find an African girl to marry.
Netizen, Carl Zha, took to his Twitter account to showcase the 36-year-old man’s gorgeous, new Zambian bride, who he married after 20 days of meeting her.
Carl Zha wrote, “36-year-old Chinese dude from rural Henan, who never had a girlfriend, asked his cousin working in Zambia to help him find a wife. His cousin introduced him to a Zambian girl. He got married after 20 days. The cousin is going back to China to help prepare his home for the arrival of the bride.”
It turns out that the groom isn’t from a privileged background, as he lives and takes care of his differently-abled, elderly parents.
“The groom has disabled parents (his mum is blind). That’s why the cousin headed back to China to help renovate the groom’s home.”
“They have gotten their marriage certificate. Apparently, the cousin who runs a successful business in Zambia knew the bride’s family for many years. The cousin originally planned to introduce the groom to the elder sister but the elder sister was already married and the mum suggested her younger daughter,” he added.
While many have pointed out that the bride might endure immense racism in China, others wished the couple well and hopes that the groom will take good care of his new, absolutely gorgeous wife.
