The swift action of the police in reaching the scene successfully thwarted an attempt by two men to commit a break-in at a residence in Taman Eng Ann, Klang.
North Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner S Vijaya Rao, said a call was received at 3:15 AM from a neighbor of the residence, who heard suspicious noises and saw the gate had been broken.

Police were alerted by the neighbour
He stated that following the tip-off, a team of police officers was deployed to the location and managed to arrest two local men who were trying to escape through the back door.
“During the arrest, stolen items were seized. Both suspects have been remanded for five days until January 6 for investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement.
He added that preliminary investigations revealed the suspects were aged between 30 and 40 and are believed to have been actively committing such crimes since early 2025.

Further checks also found that one of the suspects has two prior criminal and drug-related records.
“The suspects’ modus operandi is targeting houses that are left empty and unoccupied,” he said.
He also advised the public not to speculate as the case is still under investigation and firm action has already been taken.
A video of the incident, captured by the vigilant neighbour, went viral on social media. The footage shows the suspects attempting to flee through the back door before being swiftly apprehended by police officers.
