Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz, our Finance minister has taken to parliament to present the 2021 Budget today.

In the live broadcast, he has said that PERKESO is currently taking care of citizens who have lost their jobs via “Elaun Mencari Pekerjaan”.

This allowance is given for six months where in the first month, they are given 80% of their salary and in the following months, 20% of their salaries.

For the year 2021, “Elaun Mencari Pekerjaan” will be extended for three months and the rates will be:

  • 80% of their salary in the first month
  • 50% in the second till the sixth month
  • 30% in the last three months

For this purpose, the government has allocated RM150,000,000. This is expected to benefit 130,000 job-seekers.
