A recent mishap has gone viral after a group of friends found themselves trapped in a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) carpark.
The incident began when the driver tried to exit, but the License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera couldn’t read their number plate. The system is designed to let vehicles in and out automatically, eliminating the need for tickets or cards.

“Bro had to improvise”
A Threads post shared by @ilikefaizaliqbal shows him and his friends dealing with a humorous incident after the front number plate of their car fell off.
“The number plate fell off, so bro had to improvise to get out of the MRT parking,” the post read.
They first tried to “improvise” by holding the plate up to the scanner while driving through, hoping it would register. Despite their efforts, the scanner still couldn’t read the plate without it being properly positioned.
Even from the back seat, a friend jumped out to help, holding the number plate near the camera, but it still didn’t work.

A security staff member eventually arrived to help, and even he couldn’t help but laugh at the situation.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Faizal explained that they finally managed to get out of the MRT parking after the security staff member suggested using the Touch ‘n Go card instead.

Many netizens flooded the comments section to share their thoughts and reactions.

“I’ve seen an incident like this happen right in front of me. A Ferrari or Lamborghini. They reversed right into the barrier.”

“If there were CCTV, the CCTV would probably laugh.”

“Even their car was almost out of fuel.”

“If it happens again, you could try driving in reverse.”
