A video has taken social media by storm recently, showing how the brave folks at the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) ‘rescued’ a crocodile which somehow found itself inside a drain in front of a house in a neighbourhood in Kuching, Sarawak.
The video, shared by TikTok user @bossmichael_oe has since gone viral with over 512,000 views and more than 25,200 likes in just one day.
At the start of the video, a JBPM truck can be seen parked in the middle of the night on an unnamed neighbourhood’s street.
We soon see a crocodile seemingly stuck inside a drain in front of one of the houses, which is visible through the grates.
JBPM personnel then managed to draw the crocodile out, safely covered its mouth and tied it up.
They then carried the crocodile and put it inside the trailer of a pickup truck.

Meanwhile, another commenter said that this is actually not that uncommon, as while other places have fish in their drains, Sarawak has crocodiles.
