Despite his many connections and links to the 1MDB scandal, Malaysian businessman and international fugitive Jho Low remains on the run for years from both local as well as international authorities.

However, the authors of ‘Billion Dollar Whale’ seems to believe that Low is working at an office in Shanghai, China.

On their website ‘WHALE HUNTING’ which is a weekly newsletter created by Bradley Hope and Tom Wright to investigate the 1MDB scandal, they claimed that Low may be “going to work” to an office in the iconic Shanghai World Financial Centre.

They also cited documents which show Low’s purported business activities through a company called Guiyue Business Consulting.

On ‘WHALE HUNTING’, they wrote, “We’ve long known about some of Jho Low’s Chinese business activities because a few of them were simply registered in his name.”

“Ever since the F.B.I. and other global investigators began digging into the 1MDB scandal in 2015, Jho spent increasing amounts of time in China as we’ve detailed extensively in our YouTube live investigation.”

They said that they had a breakthrough this week, thanks to their unnamed, intrepid Chinese researcher.

“We wanted to look closer at a mysterious company Jho and his long-time sidekick Seet Li Lin called Jinweijing Business Consulting in Shanghai. This company isn’t secret, but we couldn’t find out much about it other than the fact Jho and Seet set it up,” they wrote.

“Our researcher managed to dig up underlying documents that contained an amazing, but not surprising revelation: The company had recently been renamed and taken over from the well-known Jho Low vehicle Jynwel Capital by a British Virgin Islands company called Grace Zenith Limited.”

“The amazing part is that one set of Chinese documents say that Grace Zenith has a ‘subscribed capital contribution’ of up to $333 million and an office high up in the Shanghai World Financial Center,” they explained

“The paid-up capital of Guiyue (the new name for Jinweijing) is much lower. That suggests we’ve stumbled on a very substantial piece of Malaysia’s missing money connected to the BVI.”

Do you think that this is the major breakthrough needed to find Jho Low?
