ASHRAE Run is a running event organised by ASHRAE Malaysia Chapter, collaborated with Student Chapter of the University of Malaya to promote a healthy lifestyle and multicultural understanding among the public.
Held at the High Impact Research (HIR) Building, University of Malaya on 1 March 2020, 6.30am, this is a running event you definitely shouldn’t miss!
You can choose one of the two categories below:
- 5km if you’re looking for a more casual run.
- 10km for those who like to challenge themselves.
What’s more, there are also prizes for the top 3 runners for the 10km category (Male & Female)!
- 1st place — RM200
- 2nd place — RM150
- 3rd place — RM100

1. Travel the world in just 5km with ASHRAE Run 2020
ASHRAE Run has always come out with different themes each year. And this time, the theme of the run is travel! The first of its kind in Malaysia, you don’t need a passport to experience the wonders of four different nations when you lace up and join in the run.
2. Running through 4 different countries and regions
Always wanted to run away from your country and experience the colourful cultures from exotic countries? Through ASRAE Run, you can engage in exotic cultures from these 4 countries:
- Malaysia
- Japan
- Taiwan
- Thailand
The 5km and 10km routes are specially embellished with authentic decorations from each country for a unique, vibrant experience while running!
3. An awesome cultural carnival at the end of the run
Upon completing the run, immerse yourself in a mini-festival from each of the participating countries’ cultures. Here, you get to play interactive games in the cultural booths set up by the countries tourism board including from the Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur and Taiwan Tourism Bureau.
Furthermore, don’t forget to take some pictures at their featured Instagrammable photo walls inspired by the wonderful countries and print them out FOR FREE!
4. Get some awesome goodies from the colourful race kit
All participants of the run are entitled to a race kit which includes:
