After years of being ‘overlooked’ by tech giant Apple in its Back To School promotion, Apple has finally brought the offer to Malaysia with its ‘Higher Education Offer 2022’ in which tertiary education students can get free AirPods with a purchase of selected Mac or iPad products from Apple. Nice!

The offer is currently on the front page of Apple Malaysia website and offers college students in our country a free 2nd generation AirPods if they purchase either an iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPad Pro or iPad Air through the Apple Store for Education available on Apple’s Malaysia website. The Education store itself offers discounted prices for students, whereby you can get up 10% off certain products including the ones mentioned above.

Furthermore, the Apple Higher Education Offer 2022 also offers a 20% discount of AppleCare Protection Plans for the mentioned devices. However, unlike the old days whereby Apple doesn’t actually check whether you’re a student or not when purchasing through its Education Store, students now have to verify their eligibility through a platform called UNiDAYS before being able to purchase with these discounted prices and promotions.

Well, if the 2nd generation AirPods is just too last generation for your consideration, students can also opt for getting the latest 3rd generation AirPods with a new design or even the AirPods Pro through the promotion by paying up the price differences. Just deduct the price of the 2nd generation AirPods with the AirPods of your preferences and pay that price difference.

Check out the full terms and conditions of Apple’s Back to School promotion here as while the prices are discounted, it is still quite expensive, especially for students.

What do you guys think of Apple’s promotion? Would you be purchasing a new Apple product for class? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
