Agong can sometimes be seen mingling around with the public, but it’s definitely a luxury to even see him before your eyes. While not many Malaysians have the golden opportunity to meet the King of Malaysia, this pair of American YouTubers had the luxury to meet our King in Cameron Highlands recently.
In a video uploaded to their YouTube channel, Kyle and Madie on March 26, the pair begun with strolling around Cameron Highland while also highlighting the cold weather there. They visited the local market and the Butterfly Garden, which they mostly had nothing but fond words to say about.
However, the highlight of the video lies in the final part of the video when Kyle and Maddie bumped into the King who was in his car.
Little did they know, they were not the only ones who were excited to meet the King. As you can see from the screenshot below, the King’s vehicle is surrounded by many excited Malaysians who wished to shake hands and take pictures with his Majesty. Honestly, who wouldn’t? It’s 1 in a million kind of opportunity!
Kyle and Madie slowly made their way into the crowd to get their up close and personal experience with the King.
“I’ve never fangirled harder over someone I’ve never met or heard in my life, but here we are,” Maddie expressed.
The Queen, who was entertaining others is seen seated in the passenger seat, and the pair managed to talk to the King. It was brief, but you can tell they were definitely excited.
When asked, Madie told the King that she’s from the United States of America and that she was at the place for a holiday.
“That’s a nice camera,” the King said to Kyle.
The couple managed to take a picture with the King, and a random Malaysian told them that they were lucky for being able to do so.
“That’s a rare photo!”
Madie also mentioned that the King and Queen were in town for a wedding, but stopped by to mingle around with the public for a moment.
“You guys are so lucky!”
Kyle & Madie’s video has gained the attention of many Malaysians, who were glad the pair got to meet the ruler of the country. Some also praised the King, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah for being humble and willing to mingle around with the public.
You can watch the full video below, and you can skip to the 8:11 mark if you want to see the King immediately.
