Dogs are seriously the most wholesome animals in the world.
Exactly a month ago on 30 August, the Turkish people were celebrating Victory Day, also known as Turkish Armed Forces Day. It is a public holiday in Turkey which celebrates the decisive victory in the Battle of Dumlupınar, on 30 August 1922.
As a form of celebration, a theatrical performance was held in a public square in the Izmit Municipality.

During the performance, one of the actors was playing a scene where he was injured and in great pain. The actor portrayed that he had fallen off a horse and is laying on the ground.
One audience member was deeply affected by it and wanted to comfort the actor, so it went forward and licked the actor’s face to help him relieve some of the ‘pain’. The actor relived that moment with The Dodo,
“I felt warmth on my face. First, I thought my costar was approaching me.”
After realising that a good doggo was trying to cheer him up, he broke character and smiled.
“I was very happy when I felt the dog’s kisses. I was very touched. He was like an angel who wanted to help me. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was not expecting it.”
Everyone loved the doggo’s spontaneous entrance, however, the show must go on and it was then escorted away. It stayed in the audience for a while, presumably to make sure the actor was okay before moving away.
It has been said that the Izmit Municipal Veterinarian Department has adopted the doggo.
We hope that the doggo will receive much love at his new home!
