Recent videos have caught the attention of many Malaysians after an orange cat or ‘Oyen’, believed to have gone astray, ended up at the Sekinchan Fire and Rescue Station.
In a series of TikTok videos shared by @firefighterskn, the ‘Oyen’s long journey away from home was revealed. In one clip, the feline was seen approaching a firefighter, who revealed that the cat had been at the station for four days.

In the video, the firefighter can be seen petting the cat before noticing that it was wearing a collar with the owner’s contact number.
“This cat has been at the station for three to four days, and we only just noticed a phone number on its collar,” he said in the video.
“The owner will come to pick it up on Saturday. Later, we’ll make a video of returning the cat to its owner. If all goes well, we might even do a live broadcast,” firefighterskn explained in the comment section.
Meanwhile, in a separate video, the cat’s owner is shown arriving at the station to collect their pet. It is understood that the cat came from Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah, and is believed to have boarded a truck unnoticed by the driver, eventually getting off in Sekinchan, Selangor.

Amused netizens started flooding the comment section with their thoughts and reactions.
“The cat is so smart, it got lost and it immediately went to the fire station. It knows firefighters are the rescuers.”
“If it already had a phone number on its collar, the orange cat must have caused some trouble before. Smart how it found the fire station.”
“Someone should recruit the orange cat, and make it part of the K9 unit or the basic 1700 team.”
