Well, this looks like a terrible case of bullying! We should respect all people from all walks of life but a recent case of some rude Malaysians threatening a group of foreign workers has garnered attention.

The post which was accompanied by two videos described the group of foreign workers, who are from a Penang factory, making their complaints to another person about the injustice they had just seen. Accordingly to the post, the altercation started because the bus driver had not turned on the air-conditioning for them.

“This case happened yesterday on November 3, at Majestic Heights, Paya Terubong in Penang. The bus driver of the factory was supposed to fetch the foreign workers to and fro from the factory. However, it appears that when he drove, he refused to turn on the air-conditioning for his passengers.” Looks like there are some Malaysian workers in the video too!

“When the workers asked, he said that the air-conditioning was spoilt. Not only that, he made the situation worse by smoking and all the windows were closed as well. When they reached their destination, some of them confronted the driver about his bad behaviour but he got angry and started threatening them.”

“The bus driver called some of his friends over and said to the poor workers, ‘This is Malaysia, if you cause a scene you will be killed.’ Apparently the workers said when they tried to make a police report or lodge a complaint with the factory, no one took notice.”

In the two videos, one of them showed the frustrated workers voicing out their complaints about the bad behaviour of the bus driver.

The other video showed one of the foreign workers arguing with the bus driver who is holding a motorcycle helmet and threatening him. Another worker tried to intervene but the bus driver turns on him and the innocent guy is beaten up by the motorcycle helmet.

The man can be heard shouting:

“Sekali lagi wa hentam sama lu tau! Hang jangan main-main! Ini Malaysia tau! Wa boleh bunuh lu tau! Jangan main-main aa! Jangan kurang ajar!”

The post was ended with a note, “Although they may be foreigners in our country, as Malaysians we should respect them as well.”
