That’s because there is an actual job that pays you to play with fluffy puppies the whole day! The Sydney Dogs and Cats Home have recently opened up a vacancy for their shelter to recruit a “Puppy Pal” where one of the chief responsibilities is to play with puppies while getting paid AUD500 (RM1690). I would do that for free!

Apparently the shelter had just received a litter of five 10-weeks-old Kelpie X puppies and an influx of other new animals so they need an extra pair of hands for the day. Airtasker has agreed to donate the AUD500 (RM1690) to hire the new recruit to help out at the shelter for a day.

Of course, based on a video by Today, the objective of hiring this Puppy Pal is ultimately to raise awareness of what the shelter does and get more people to know about their volunteer program. As Sydney’s only charity pound, they rely on the kindness of the public for donations and help as they never place a time limit on pets awaiting adoption.

If chosen, the lucky person who will be doing this dream job needs to be a cool natural on camera as some of the animals are budding vlog stars in the making! #femes

There are already more than 550 applications ever since recruitment started on September 4 and will end on September 17. The chosen Puppy Pal will enjoy playing with the roly-poly, tumbling puppies on September 25.

How awesome is that? We can do the same too by volunteering at our local animal shelters!
