Guys, we think we’ve entered the wrong profession!

According to The Sun, a 27-year-old Aquaculture Science graduate from University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) recently turned his hobby into a full-time job that now makes hundreds of thousands annually!

Jubair Juhinin initially never thought that his business would achieve this level of success. He opened the Arnab Village in Kampung Purakagis, Ranau last year and managed to earn RM300,000 from a year’s worth of ticket sales, proving it to be a popular tourism product in Sabah.

Now, his petting zoo has emerged as one of the most popular destinations alongside Taman Kinabalu, Sabah Tea Plantation, Poring hot spring and the fish spa in Kampung Luanti.

The petting zoo currently has 400 bunnies of eight different species freely bouncing around the enclosure, where visitors can pet and take photos of the adorable animals. Jubair plans to increase the number of rabbits to 1,000 early next year.

When he first started his business, he began with a capital of less than RM5,000 for minimal investment in facilities and landscaping.

“The Arnab Village area is now upgraded with better public amenities, rabbit stables and a souvenir shop. In the third phase of development, we will focus on building restaurants and accessory stores,” said Jubair.

Arnab Village charges RM3 for Malaysian children, RM5 for Malaysian adults while tickets for foreigners are priced at RM5 for children and RM10 for adults. Pretty good pricing, actually!

So, next time you’re in Sabah, make sure you visit this adorable petting zoo. Check out their Facebook page for more information!

Meanwhile, we’re going to start investing in some rabbits!
