We as humans like to find faults about what we already have because we tend to think that the grass is always greener on the other side.

For example, even though Malaysia is not perfect and still classified as a developing country, we have a lot to be grateful for and sometimes it takes an outsider’s perspective for us to remember that.

Recently, an American traveler (@random.4.you) went viral on TikTok for a video he uploaded praising Malaysia’s beauty and our people’s friendliness.

In the video, he shared that he was at first hesitant to fly over 30 hours from America just to visit Malaysia. However, after his travels here, he’s glad that he did as coming here was the best decision he’s ever made.

“The people of Malaysia are among the friendliest people on this planet and Malaysia is so beautiful. It’s full of nature and beauty,” he wrote in his video.

He even said that KL felt safer and more modern to him than New York City! Can you imagine?!

In an exclusive interview with WORLD OF BUZZ, @random.4.you shared that he was blown away by Malaysia as it far exceeded his expectations of how our country was like.

I can’t pick a favourite; I have many fond memories – the friendly people, the chill relaxed vibes, the beautiful streets and buildings, and the sheer number of food options“, he said when asked about what his favourite memory of Malaysia is.

“Malaysia, in my opinion is a very underrated country that deserves a lot more attention than it already gets.”

@random.4.you also shared that he hopes to come back soon so that he can create more content about the different places in Malaysia. “I’d love to visit Sabah and Sarawak next time“, he added.

“I urge people who call Malaysia a third world country to come visit, especially my fellow Americans. It’s a very long flight, but very worth it.”
