RapidKL has announced that several of its Light Rapid Transit (LRT), Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and monorail stations will be extending their operations today until 1 am on 1 January 2023 so as to cater to those that will be going out to celebrate New Year’s Eve. RapidKL took to its official social media page to announce the matter, though do note that the list of stations is not that extensive.

So make sure to plan out your travels accordingly if you’re planning to go out by public transport later tonight. Here is the list of LRT stations that will be extending their operations until 1 am:

  • KLCC station
  • Masjid Jamek station (both Ampang/Sri Petaling and Kelana Jaya line)
  • Maluri station
  • IOI Puchong station
  • PWTC station

Meanwhile, for the Kajang MRT line, the applicable stations are only the Bukit Bintang and Maluri stations. As for the KL Monorail line, only Bukit Bintang station will be extending its operating hours until 1 am.

RapidKL further elaborated that all other stations will be closed as per the usual operating hours, but passengers can still exit at those stations. Users are also advised to use the Touch ‘n Go card and make sure that their balance is sufficient for smooth travel.
